DESCRIPTION:Children’s Music Workshop presents Children of Eden Jr at the Mendel Center!\nBased on the story of Genesis\, the age-old conflict of parents and children takes the stage in a new adaptation of Stephen Schwartz’s epic and heartfelt musical.  From musical theatre greats\, Stephen Schwartz and John Caird\, comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents\, children and faith … not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! Adam\, Eve\, Noah and the “Father” who created them deal with the headstrong\, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. As generations pass\, faith and loyalty are tested\, but the bonds of family and love remain strong. \nBring the whole family for en evening of fun!\nTickets are $10 a piece\, seniors and students: $6 \nChildren’s Music Workshop is a Berrien County based organization that provides theatrical productions for children of any ethnic\, cultural and economic background\, grades 1-12\, in a nurturing\, safe atmosphere of wholesome activity.  They help children build confidence and self-esteem\, while learning teamwork and the joy of expressing themselves through dance\, music and drama and community service.

SUMMARY:A Steamed Nutcracker
DESCRIPTION:In June of 2015\, the Citadel Dance Department presented an all new ballet written and produced by Director of Dance\, Lari Lawrence-Gist\, entitled “Steamed”. We introduced the audience to the main character\, Sansa\, who traveled thru time to try to prevent the destruction of the Earth at the hands of corrupt scientists who cared more for their inventions than that of the health and safety of the environment. \nIn this Steampunk version of the classic “Nutcracker”\, our heroine continues her journey. Sansa returns home to celebrate the holidays with her friends and family “a long time ago”. The Seer has forseen a great betrayal and comes to warn Sansa\, but Sansa banishes her before she can show her the prophesy. The pirates ascend upon her home in the sky (a zeppelin) and a battle ensues. Sansa battles her enemies bravely\, but during the action she is knocked unconscious. Her dreams are a Steampunk fantasy where all the characters of “Steamed” appear in extraordinary scenes. When she wakes\, she must face the Seer and apologize for not listening before the Seer and her timekeepers send her and her loved ones reeling thru time once more. \nTwo performances\, 2pm matinee and evening show at 7:30pm

DESCRIPTION:In June of 2015\, the Citadel Dance Department presented an all new ballet written and produced by Director of Dance\, Lari Lawrence-Gist\, entitled “Steamed”. We introduced the audience to the main character\, Sansa\, who traveled thru time to try to prevent the destruction of the Earth at the hands of corrupt scientists who cared more for their inventions than that of the health and safety of the environment. \nIn this Steampunk version of the classic “Nutcracker”\, our heroine continues her journey. Sansa returns home to celebrate the holidays with her friends and family “a long time ago”. The Seer has forseen a great betrayal and comes to warn Sansa\, but Sansa banishes her before she can show her the prophesy. The pirates ascend upon her home in the sky (a zeppelin) and a battle ensues. Sansa battles her enemies bravely\, but during the action she is knocked unconscious. Her dreams are a Steampunk fantasy where all the characters of “Steamed” appear in extraordinary scenes. When she wakes\, she must face the Seer and apologize for not listening before the Seer and her timekeepers send her and her loved ones reeling thru time once more. \nTwo performances\, 2pm matinee and evening show at 7:30pm

DESCRIPTION:Let’s Take a Hike: Black River Preserve – 4 Miles \nSince they a call for upper 30’s on Sunday\, it will be a great day to hike. Let’s hike the Black River Preserve in South Haven. We’ll meet at the parking lot on 8th Ave (half mile west of 68th) at 1:00. Generally\, an easy hike with only a couple of small hills. Trail will be snowy and wet so please wear proper foot gear. We will hike about 4 miles. \nDogs are welcome but must be kept on a 6-foot leash at all times. Dog waste must be packed out. \nBlack River Preserve’s deep ravines\, beech-maple forests\, streams\, rolling uplands\, and views of the big Black River provide the visitor with a wide variety of southwest Michigan habitats in which to hike\, Dirt hiking trails are color-coded\, with some hilly sections. As generations pass\, faith and loyalty are tested\, but the bonds of family and love remain strong. \nBring the whole family for en evening of fun!\nTickets are $10 a piece\, seniors and students: $6 \nChildren’s Music Workshop is a Berrien County based organization that provides theatrical productions for children of any ethnic\, cultural and economic background\, grades 1-12\, in a nurturing\, safe atmosphere of wholesome activity.  They help children build confidence and self-esteem\, while learning teamwork and the joy of expressing themselves through dance\, music and drama and community service.

SUMMARY:A Steamed Nutcracker
DESCRIPTION:In June of 2015\, the Citadel Dance Department presented an all new ballet written and produced by Director of Dance\, Lari Lawrence-Gist\, entitled “Steamed”. We introduced the audience to the main character\, Sansa\, who traveled thru time to try to prevent the destruction of the Earth at the hands of corrupt scientists who cared more for their inventions than that of the health and safety of the environment. \nIn this Steampunk version of the classic “Nutcracker”\, our heroine continues her journey. Sansa returns home to celebrate the holidays with her friends and family “a long time ago”. The Seer has forseen a great betrayal and comes to warn Sansa\, but Sansa banishes her before she can show her the prophesy. The pirates ascend upon her home in the sky (a zeppelin) and a battle ensues. Sansa battles her enemies bravely\, but during the action she is knocked unconscious. Her dreams are a Steampunk fantasy where all the characters of “Steamed” appear in extraordinary scenes. When she wakes\, she must face the Seer and apologize for not listening before the Seer and her timekeepers send her and her loved ones reeling thru time once more. \nTwo performances\, 2pm matinee and evening show at 7:30pm
