DESCRIPTION:**🚶‍➡️🚶‍♀️🌛🌃🥾Friday GAIT Night Winter Walk Group (multiple locations)** \nMy PhD Winter term is lighter compared to last 2 terms🥳💃🎉 … so I am going to plan a monthly **1-2 hour moderate walking FRIDAY GAIT NIGHT experience** along Michiana’s night-friendly pathways. I will try to keep it interesting with a variety of locations. \n**REMINDER** to please **UN-rsvp** if you cannot make it; it is terribly cold outside to be waiting for folks to appear that don’t…I am very optimistic. Hahaha. \n**As Always there is possibility** of gathering for some warming vittles/bevvies after our healthy jaunt (First Fridays in the downtown area & by group vote and nearby locations for other walks — I am an early bird to rise person\, so I may or may not join the group – depends on the evening!!). \n**GAIT:** Primarily paved walkways\, but anticipate recent wet\, slush\, ice possibilities under the night lighting of street lights. We will gauge or group GAIT accordingly – nobody left behind! Typically about 2.5-3 miles per hour – allowing for chatting and a good heartrate in wintry conditions. I usually gauge it by the time 40ishy minutes forward\, 45ishy minutes back. \n*Let me know if you have a favorite suggestion in your area!* \n**THESE are all weather-dependent; anything that threatens frozen nosies & toesies will be rescheduled** (if I end up with a big exam that I need to study for\, I may ask for a volunteer leader of the hike – but as mentioned\, I have an easier flow this term) \n**SCHEDULED FIRST Friday of each month:** \n1. **Canceled 1st** Walk: Dec 27th SBN Pinhook park to Coal Line Trail Riverwalk\n2. **2nd** Walk Feb 7th SBN Farmers Market to Old Madison Riverwalk (1st Fri)\n3. **3rd** Walk March 7th MISH Ironworks Lot Riverwalk loop\n4. **4th** Walk April 4th ND Lake Loopity Loop \n****I will try to schedule out a month or more so WE can plan ahead!! Again\, let me know if you have favorite night walks in Michiana & surrounding.** \n**WEATHER NOTE**: All Winter events will have the weather caveat. Negative wind chills and winds over 10mph could create a rescheduling or canceling situation\, with some discussion amongst the group beforehand. Always check the comments before heading out the door!! Proper attire is a MUST!! Parks are likely to have multiple terrain/gooshy conditions. \n**😃🤗✌️🕊️🙋‍♀️As always\, kindness and inclusivity are a must – EVERYONE is WELCOME! Say Hi to everyone and strike up a chat with anyone/everyone who seems to be on their own. Many of US are social-loners and need a bit of warming up with a smile.**
