The Melodious Faithful: Music at the House of David

Discover the remarkable musical legacy of Benton Harbor’s House of David during this special theatre and dance presentation in St. Joseph. For over fifty years, the Israelite House of David’s professional touring bands—from orchestras and marching ensembles to jazz and swing groups—captivated audiences across America’s concert halls and vaudeville theaters while entertaining visitors at their amusement park. Beyond commercial success, their music served as profound individual, communal, and religious expression.
